This is the most caring and personal school I have ever had my kids attend. My son has Down Syndrome and the special ed department has bent over backwards to meet his needs, which is difficult with the extreme budget cuts. I have never felt pressure to not mainstream him. The teachers and other staff treat everyone like family, and the kids excel in that kind of environment. Very positive school!

My granddaughter attends YVE (this is her third year) and I can't say enough good things about the school, the teachers, the entire support staff, the reading specialists, the maintenance people, the boosters, and /or the students! This school exudes enthusiasm and community spirit. Thank you Mrs. Priest, et al

In my sons first year attending I have found the teachers and staff to be great! My sons teacher works extremely hard to attend to every childs individual learning needs. It amazes me to watch her work with the student/teacher ratio she has. He has grown greatly in academics and socialization. The principal and staff are always very kind and attentive to all of the kids. It is nice to be recognized by name. My husband and I are very pleased with the great year Yaquina View has shared with our son.
