North Bend Middle School

We've had a good experience at NBMS. Principal and vice principal have always been very helpful, return calls quickly and take care of all our concerns. The band program is excellent, the band teacher cares very much about her students and enjoys her job, and it really shows.

I like most of the schools in the North Bend, OR area. I went to them,the kids, and now the grandkids.

My sons transferred from another district and while this one is way better, the orco teachers are not really accessible to the kids, the councilor is awesome and very helpful.

My grandson transferred from a school that rated 8 to this school. He had trouble from day one with the teachers and other students bullying him. He is now going to a private school.

This school needs some work. Some of the teachers could do a better job. Parents need to be more involved in their students education. The principals could do a better job. We will wait and see if the school gets better this year.

I think that nbms is a big joke....the teachers don't help the kids the way that they should. My daughter was doing well in hillcrest and as soon as she went to nbms her grades went down and you have to fight with the staff to get any help. They don't give you the missing assi. when you ask for them. If you are ever thinking about putting your kid in this school. Don't!!!!
