To this point our families experience with the Pleasant Hill School District has been grades K - 4. Our schools may not have the luxuries found in some larger districts such as swimming pools, cafeterias or fancy auditoriums. What we do have are caring, qualified teachers and staff and classrooms at a manageable student level. We have found that our child has been inspired to learn and is being prepared for college and future success. Furthermore we have not had teachers pedaling their personal political agenda upon our child. Our elementary school cooperates with a local church and parents allowing students to attend church school for a period one day each week which is unusual these days. We look forward to our child continuing his education in the Pleasant Hill School District as he moves forward with middle and high school.
I think that Pleasant Hill School District is highly over rated. I choose to move my family to this school district, because at one time it was the best school in Lane County. In my opinion Pleasant Hill is now equal & not above any of the other school's in Lane County; which is ashamed as every tax levy that is put to vote for the school district passes; and the taxes are outrageous in the P.H. area...so there should be no reason that there is no NORMAL lunch program being provided, or buses for students other then the 'FOOTBALL' players for sporting events. Come on Pleasant Hill School...lets give the residents of this area a break and start offering more programs and classes that will allow our students more of a chance as they get ready to enter the world. There is more to this world then football out there.
Great school. Teachers who bring out the best in the student. Small, no frills school.
