yes they they even have a special ed program which is a great thing for this school and a lot of the special students are super hard to deal with, but i think they have the best people that handle those situations. IF they get a bad grade on there special ed program its because there special students were really special in a way that they were always screaming and yelling, but they handle this well.
When they catch someone, the kids get so afraid of how mad there parents are gonna be when there parents have to pick up there trouble makers, lol. after that they become friends with the person they bullied most of the time u got to be willing to forgive them when they come back talking about how sorry they were and how there parents paddle them a good one and they don't what to be a bully again to u.
I went to this school 22 years ago, and I like it a lot. The teachers were some of the best teachers I ever had. They created forward thinking which developed great learning skills. This school being in the location that it was in, the favor of how successful the students became was not all in or favor. And they knew this and were well prepare on how to make the best of that. Which showed me they really wanted everybody to succeed above the normal standards of what was expected. And the athletics of the students were the best I have ever seen. Great basketball players, football players every sport u can think of, this school has the best of them in the entire state of Oregon. But being in the location that the school was in many didn't continue there athleticism through out the rest of there life's. Most of these children should have grown up to become professional sports players. great place to start but middle school and high school u will want to move the kids to a really nice area and that's just my though. But kindergarden through 5th grade this school is the best of the best even know the ratings don't show that.
There is good reason this school gets a 3 rating. There is poor overall leadership at this school which impacts quality. The district itself is struggling. Too bad the university next door is not making more of an impact like University of Washington does on education in Seattle.
We have 2 children at this school & have had nothing but a wonderful experience. The teachers are attentive, caring, & put the kids' education first & foremost. We have music, PE, art, & a great SUN program. The kids are happy! Our principal is our biggest cheerleader & has blossomed our relationship with Concordia University.
I have a second grader at Faubion and we have been happy with her overall experience. Her teachers are caring and have been attentive to her education needs. The administrative staff has done an amazing job to offer a wide variety of enrichments to our students. We have a great after school program and an active community. Our students are offered a lot of extracurricular activities despite being a Title I school. I'd love to see more music education at our school and maybe some more Latino/a cultural education, but overall we are happy our daughter is a Faubion Bulldog.
i went her from k-5 and it was amazing ! all the teachers are super helpful and actually want you to do good. I even stayed in touch with some and they gave me advice in choosing a high school. i heard that the school did get a bit more strict (student manager) but that was it. When i went to middle school i knew more than kids from other schools. I knew more about the revolutionary war, european explorers, i was a better speller, etc . i loved it here.
