Awsome programs, especially the SUN after-school programs. Great basketball team. The girl's team didn't lose any games in the regular season. Great music, PE and extracurricular activities. Low parental involvement, especially in upper grade. We love this little school.

My child has been at Woodmere since 2nd grade and next year she will enter 6th grade. Our experience w/ Woodmere is it has been one of the best schools by far i've seen in the Portland area. The staff is more than willing to work with parents in anyway.

My daughters teachers were wonderful. The school however does NOT do lice checks nor send children with lice home even when there is a breakout among the students. Think seriously about that before sending your children there because breakouts are common.

The teachers are great and give freely of themselves to ensure that all children enjoy their school expierience! The new principal is doing great and working hard to make a great school even better! keep up the good work! We all look forward to returning in the fall!

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
