Abiqua School

As a parent of two kids with one in Abiqua and other one on their way there, I can say the way of teaching in Abiqua is the way all schools will teach in future. Use of multimedia in each class room (smart boards), laptops for middleschoolers for doing all their work, real world projects and powerpoint presentations to solidify presentation/commuication skills. Teachers take the time to inform each parent about their child's progress daily and the whole school community (teachers, childern, parents and grandparents) is very active on its own community site on the internet. Ask anyone about HEART skills. It is worth learning at Abiqua.

As an Abiqua Alumni i could not recommend this school more. When I entered Abiqua I was incredibly shy and self-conscience. The amazing teachers and staff created such a sense of community that it was easy to feel right at home in my new school. Every teacher was kind and compassionate- each genuinely caring about their students. The confidence I received during those crucial middle school years surely could not be matched by any standard public school. Now, as a senior in high school, I fully realize what a difference Abiqua has made.

The quality of the academic program at Abiqua Middle School is outstanding. The teachers and curriculum prove to be second to none, and students are tracked in all areas so their curriculum is tailored to fit their abilities and learning style.
