I am a parent of 3 students, soon to be 4 students at Valley Inquiry Charter School. My husband and I first became involved with the school when our now 10 year old started Kindergarten. Back when it was known as the Baker Charter School and was located on the campus of the Oregon State school for the deaf. We were instantly amazed with the amount of parent involvement and the wonderful atmosphere the school has. It's a small (one classroom per grade) tight knit school where everyone knows everyone and everyone cares about everyone. Parents watch out for other parents children, the teachers are dedicated to ensure the success of every child, and the principal goes the extra mile to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of his students. The school has everything anyone could hope for in a school. With limited funds though having this money could do a lot of good for our kid's and our school.
