scappoose high school is very simple, it accepts success but does not stress the continuation to a high er education. Students can often be over looked with its growing classes and are not held accountable for absences.

The amount of communication that we get from the school is nearly '0'. I read the newsletter when it comes out front to back. However,I receive it after most of the announcements they are giving have already past, I have brought this up several times but nothing seems to get done about it. Parent involvement is very limited, the same parents continue to be supportive, a big thank you to those who do help. Scappoose supports Football heavily--and then leaves out music, soccer, and all the other 'school supported subjects.' Scappoose has some awesome teams and they should be recognized.

In my opinion: High expectations are seldom found there. A student can miss school or be late and often see no consequence. Having striaght D's allows one to play sports. The community is not supportive of education and turn out by parents for conferences is poor. Being a small town does not mean that education has to be substandard. I taught there, was given the chance to come back, and turned it down for the above reasons.

I think that this school is really nice. To bad though that they had to cut a few things here and there and had to make things more expenive though besides all that I think that is a really great school.

I believe this school is the best high school in the county. However, I would like to see more encouragement for parental involvement. More communication. Most teachers are great about this but not all. But overall, a fantastic school.
