I am extremely unsatisfied with this school. My child experienced racism, unfair treatment and harrassment from the teachers. I received many unprofessional emails after expressing my concerns to some of the teachers regarding help for my child. I DO NOT recommend this school to anyone and I am not surprised that it is closing down. I have never dealt with such unprofessional, uncaring teachers. They dont care about the students or helping them learn/grow. Also,the staff at the front desk are always mean and don't ever greet you.
This School is a wonderful place for your child to learn. The teachers are fantastic and the new laptops are an added bonus for learning opprotunities. I had a great experience at SMS and I am now moving on to SHS. I played many sports and was able to have an enjoyable time with all of them. The orchestra and band programs are fantastic. The teachers really pushed me to do my very best and I really loved the school. The small student-teacher ratio really helps. There is a great PTSA program and you can really get involved.
