I am sorry to hear what a negative experience this parent had. The elementary school currently has 9 out 12 teacher who have been here more than 5 years. We have a new principal who has excellent relationships with the staff and community. We do have a significant hispanic population and are happy to have them. We are not required to speak Spanish in order to teach. Our Hispanic families are strong supporters of the staff and school and are always willing to help their children succeed. We love working here and believe we have a stong school. The staff goes above and beyond to help our kids, the parents and the community!

Stanfield Elem. has a problem with obtaining and retaining teachers. There is a huge communication problem between the school and the parents. Most of the time, letters take 6-8 days to reach the house, from the day they are dated. Most of the time, we find out about events the day before leaving parents little or no time to plan. The buses continually fail to show up to pick up the children and sometimes come 1/2 hour early. The principal does not deal with conflict well. When he is backed into a corner he will often lie to save face. As you can see by the percentage of hispanich students in this school, teachers are required to be able to speak both languages in order to teach the class. Community is good, however more weak links in Police Dept than strong. Seriously reconsider this area/school before moving here.
