The teachers were great. Mr. Judah and Mr. Larson were great. The secretary needed to retire 10 years ago. She's short tempered and not great with parents. Mrs. Taylor is phenomenal. Mrs. Axtel is just plainly an unhappy person. The teachers are amazing. The parent participation is amazing.
I think Mr. Judah should receive credit where credit is due. He has really pulled this school together, and got people talking. Paul Peterson has done wonderful things for the school district as a whole. And last but not least -- Mrs. Bennet Warrens secretary keeps it ALL together, she is the schools glue.
The two ratings at the bottom were based on a different principal (which I agree with 100%). Now that Mr. Judah is on board and Peterson has taken over as superintendent, this school is the complete package. If you stay involved with your kids and the school, this small 'country' school has all the private ones beat hands down....
Great place to learn. Wonderful students and parents. Awesome teaching team and Mr. Judah, the principal is a very positive leader.
My son is in Kindergarten and his experience has been really great. He looks forward to each day and especially enjoys Music days. The administration has been pleasant and helpful at every turn, the bus system has relieved any apprehensions by being very punctual and the driver is just great with the kids. Recently had the 'Carnival' and it was packed with parents and excited children 'fishing', tossing and roping for cute prizes. Our first conference with the Teacher was very complete and informative with suggestions for reinforcement in the home (reading and writing)and useful tools, such as word charts. The Principal seems really involved and he's very approachable. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with Warren and my boy's enthusiasm for homework is a pleasant surprise.
I would not be fooled by Warren's cute country school appearance. This school has so many issues. There are only three teachers to be what I would call truly competent. There is a lot of tension between the principal and the parents. It's a daily soap opera.
I had my child start this school. There were so many problems. Teachers were great, but the principal was the worst of kind. She wasn't friendly and was very political. The superintendent wasn't willing to listen and the whole school system seems falling apart. They aren't there for the children at all. They think the county is made up of bunch of idiots who would support their ballot to fix and add to school, but they were gravely wrong. We all know that it is not the building that makes the great schools. There needs to be lots of fixing within the system.
