Get your child to do their chores, without the nagging

"It sounds really mean and tough," admits parenting coach Christine Carter... but it works. Here's her secret for getting kids to do their chores and take more responsibility.

     

    Once a year, Raising Happiness author Christine Carter has her two daughters do this one thing to make sure they take care of their daily household tasks. "You can't get into a habit if it's always a negotiation, so I take all negotiating ability off the table," Carter says.
