I am a recent graduate of Juniata Valley Jr./Sr. High School and I can honestly say it is not a good school...they do not prepare you for college at all, the discipline is horrible and the princple and most of the teachers have there favorite students and if you are not one of them you are pretty much screwed. It may look like a good school from the outside, but it is truly not! Parents you have no idea what goes on in that school and once you spend 13 years of your life in that school then you can have an opinion. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL! Take it from a student!

I Think that our Jr/Sr high school need to have more caring teachers. I have to children that attend and that are in need of help, when they ask or say that they don't understand something, they are told more or less 'to bad'.

Small town politics, cliques, not enough to offer, small town mentality, questionable activity.

When we moved here from a major city, I was concerned about my children attending a public school. The education they receive at JV is excellent. I do not regret my decision to enroll them in Juniata Valley. I do wish more parents would take an active roll in their children's education rather than expecting the school to raise their children for them.

I have very high marks for this school. There is a great teacher to student ratio, rarly any fighting problems and the school is located in a country farming area community.

When my child went from the elementary school into a combined junior/senior high school..we both anticipated problems..and that was an unnecessary worry. Lower and higher grades are intergrated well. As an 8th grader, my child easily participates in activities with all grade levels. I am pleased with the quality of the teachers and the programs. However the one area in which I would like schools to approach is the beginning of foreign languages in elementary grades and continuing..waiting until the high school level is, I feel, a blight on our educational system.
