the level of parent involvement is very small. As far as the availability of music, are, sports and other activities it is the bare minimum.

The structure needs work. The children can excel to potential as far as academics. The sports program is GREAT. Aliquippa is a great school,I think the difference is that it reports more incidents than any other school, not that other schools don't have them, they go unreported. So the honesty about this is great.Me, my parents and my children went/go to Aliquippa. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The building structure is not safe. The gym ceiling is roped off because it is falling down, but is still used by the students.

I am currently enrolled at Aliquippa h.s and I love it, the people are really down to earth and extemly nice. Our prinicpals are very concered about us as students and the teachers couldn't be better. I will most definatly send my future children here.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing, science and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.

The different student groups are identified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. If there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
