St. Rose has provided a wonderful learning environment for our children with opportunities to grow spiritually, academically, athletically, and socially.
I'm going to go somewhere in-between the first two opinions.There is alot of money at St. Rose, and although I would love to say that it is not an issue, it definitly is. However, most of the families are typical working, middle-class families, who are very down-to-earth. Everyone, staff and parents, have treated my children and my family fairly and with respect.
I found St. Rose of Lima School to be a warm, nurturing school that encourages children to learn, learn, learn. The students are exposed to the traditional academics as well as phys.ed, music, technology, the arts and hands-on science. A variety of programs is available to all students to promote and foster a love of reading. My entire family loves St. Rose!
I am very disappointed in this school. The mission statement for the school is very touching, but the reality is completely different. The staff shows a lack of understanding as to what a 'christian' school should stand for. The only thing that matters is the money coming in the door. So, if you plan on contributing alot of extra money to this school, then your kids will be greeted warmly. If you are like me, a working mom, look elsewhere. The other parents as well as the staff, will snub you and your children. Even if they are straight A like mine.
