Wissahickon School District is an amazing school district but I believe this is the low point of it. More in the "bad" part of town, or at least I believed that when I had to go here for 2 years. I had good teachers and decent friends but overall it isn't a very nice school especially if you're coming from Blue Bell, Shady Grove, and Lower Gwynedd school experiences, all from the same district. Those were all great schools...

Hi, I have been a Mattison Ave Mom for 8 yrs now, and I truly do love the school, the Leadership in the school, and the parent participation. I feel the children are getting a good education.I feel my girls are challenged by all of the teachers they have had so far..and the out come is AWESOME. Just because they don't offer foreign languages does not mean the children are not learning new languages. The school is so diverse with children from all different ethnic back rounds, and my daughters have learned some Spanish and Korean, and Italian, and Chinese from there friends. Just because it's not in the everyday curriculum, does not mean they are not learning new languages. At the end of the day, Mattison Ave. is a Great School to send your Kids.

This is a nice quiet little neighbourhood school. But don't think your kid is going to get a great education. It's okay but it's not great. They don't do other languages and they don't challenge your child according to their abilities. Therefore your child will get bored and start to hate school. They also have some very weird/inappropriate rules such as not being able to take off sweaters/sweatshirts in class.
