Customized curriculum and now streamed classes from Abeka Academy using state-of-the art computers. Orchard Hills has come a long way in the last few years ironing out some of it's problems and improving. Small class sizes, supervised classes with both committed Christian parents and certified teachers, a hot lunch program, gym, busing, and competitive prices. Visit our website or come see our school to see what we have to offer.

Orchard Hills is not typical of your "normal" schools (ie: public elem schools) If you want class sizes of 27+ and the focus to be getting high scores on the PSSA's since thats all the local schools seems to teach for anymore - then no this is not the school for you or your child - if however you are interested in a quality, personalized, private christian based education with the focus being on the learning needs of each individual student then I would highly recommend OH. I personally dont feel that structure is a problem at all, is the atmosphere a little more relaxed then most? Yes, but I myself feel I would rather have my child in this type of atmosphere being able to be a child than in any of the local public schools.

Orchard Hills currently features state of the art computer equipment, internet with filtering, and has a new website. See it at www.ohcacademy.com. It has some problems with structure due to the custom curriculum because not all kids are working on the same thing at the same time. All schools have correction issues but it is how they are dealt with that counts.

There is a lack of classroom structure and correction. The school is still in the stone ages of technology.

Orchard Hills offers small class sizes, custom curriculum, public school busing, and Christian education. It is a great place to send your kids. I had one graduate from there and one attend for three years.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
