This school treats the students like they are in prison. There are way to many rules. They are students not prisoners. If you are not smart, a cheerleader, or play sports, you are treated as an outcast. If you can't keep up with the rest of the class they put you in a closet with the work that you dont understand, instead of taking a few minutes to explain it to you. My daughter was given 5 days suspension for having a cell phone in the class. I wonder if the kid that videoed the teacher beating another student recently on the news got 5 days suspension.

This is one of the most polical school districts. All they worry about is football. Tons of money was put into a beautiful football stadium but not much is put into the actual education process. My child loves music but does not like marching band. This is the only option available to musicians in this school. He was going to quit band because of this. We have moved to another school district that has no football and he loves thier music program and smaller student population.

I am a student at Valley View High School and it's a horrible school, they dont give any individual attention and use the same lesson plan for every student which helps some students, but hurts others.

I am a former Valley View Student and really enjoyed my four years of high school there. I think that Valley View is just like any other school or any other venture in life- you get out of it what you put in. The teachers were absolutely wonderful and were always there for anything a student needed, whether it was classroom related or not. I really feel like the teachers and students are what made the school and still make the school so great. The administration on the other hand... Valley View is a small town, close-knit school. Now that I live in a large city more than 3,000 miles away, I realize how fortunate I was to go to a school where everyone knew my name and everyone wore a smile.

It is a very political school. To get anything you have to know someone.
