My daughter is graduating from this school and I will have a son that will be entering. I like the fact that when you enter 6th grade - the kids are kept seperate from the 7th and 8th graders. Middle school can be hard and this gives them a chance to get used to all the changes. Also - like many other schools safety is top priority we have employees out side of the bathrooms and hall monitors. Our school doesn't put up with bullying - we also have a dress code. The district offers kids many choices of clubs - band, music, drama, choir, art, sports and many more. Northley is a great middle school - improvong every year.
Northley is a great school. My daughter is in sixth grade there now.All of the elementary schools from Parkside,Aston, and Brookhaven come together. My daughter loves it because she has made so many new friends from Aston and Parkside. Also, the teachers are great. They make school so much fun for the students. She said she will probably keep her kids in Penn Delco!
northley Middle school has th best staff. We treat the kids like proper mini adults. Please, tell kids that this school has many varities of food, very fun special like wood shop, gym, and my favorite swimming. Yes, we do have a swimming pool and it's heated
This school really stinks, and if you can, try not to go. No one cares about your existence unless you act 'cool', or like a bully. The teachers are ok, but the education they teach is average at best. No one cares about the gifted program kids, unless they are good at PSSA, which they stress to people so they can get 50 out of the top 50 school districts. Really.
i love this school yes its hard at times and what school dosent have social clicks yes the teachers are sometimes strict but it helps when u hit sun valley and a plus is u get to have swimming in gym. i made my best friend in northley i think its better than most i mean we have new activities every year like the loser sleep over in sixth pool partys and they are adding things every year and they have a great antiebulling program and if ur son or daughter has a learning disability they will set them up with aids and the teachers are only strict to the kids who act up and most people get along
I'm in 8th grade in this middle school, and From personal judgement, you are better off sending your child somewhere better. The academics here aren't horrible, but it's simply average, and quite mediocre. Socially, it's a bit hard to find friends and feel accepted especially in the older grades. No one really pay attention to you unless your 'popular' or 'hot.' I also wouldn't send your kid here if he/she has a learning disability. The teachers here spaz at that kind of stuff.
I am a student at Northley. I am in 8th grade and it is the year 05-06. Northley is a great school. It has different teams. I am on the gold team. The teachers are great. They are normal they treat you like regular people. The subjects are really cool and the teachers get you excited about it. They prepare you for the real world and high school. The teachers make you never want to leave. Never want to have different teachers. Never make you want to leave northley and go on to sun valley. I know I don't. It is going to be a depressing time when I live northley. I never want to leave. It is the best school in the world. Everyone should have teachers like me. They are funny and cool and joke around. Yes they get serious but they still make time for fun at Northley.
