Lynch-Bustin is a great school but in order for your child to recieve a GREAT education there, you must be a parent that is involved in your child's learning. I have a daughter with a learning diability and she has had a great few years there. There has to be open communication with the teachers. They really need to understand your childs needs and the expectations you have as a parent. For some of the negative comments that are posted I challenge you to take a look at some of the schools within the district that do not compare to what Lynch has to offer.

Moved to this area and had nothing but difficulties with the district. There seems to be no resources in place for students in elementary school- guidance, counselors...nothing. A district of this size and no student resources until the higher grades. Lots of fake smiles and nods in the right places. They could care less if my child was there or not.

I disagree with the review below. I think that Lynch is a fabulous school and I believe they do go above and beyond for students that need extra help. I think the Everyday Math is a wonderful program that actually teaches the students how to do the calculations and math processes the way they should be done. The numbers on the report card actually correspond with a key and the students have to fit a certain criteria to be placed within the certain number grade given. I think that Lynch is an excellent school and even though we are not from this district originally they have treated my son and myself with kindness and great respect. I am a Bachelors student in Elementary Education and they welcome me with open arms and warm smiles whenever I need to do an observation in a classroom or have questions.

I put my son through this school and I have to say that I do not believe that it was as exceptional as some of the reviews. The teachers there are not very supportive of the students who need a little guidance and very quick to judge. They have a very different way of learning Math (Everyday Math), which is hard to follow. The test scores speak for themselves. Their grade system is not based on percentages or letters but numbers that are dependant on the teacher s own opinions. Despite the fact that my son did well in his classes, they were more focused on his age and whom he had as friends. If you are not part of the local good old boy club your child doesn t have a chance

The extracurricular activities are fantastic. I know of no other elementary school in the area that has both a chess club and a drama club. My kids appreciate the opportunity to develop these new skill and find new talents.

Lynch-Bustin is an oustanding school. The Principal is exceptional. The Staff is family oriented. Parent involvement is encouraged and children thrive on the attention and creative programs in this school. Kidwriting is a great way to start kindergartners right into writing and reading from the first day of school. Everyday Math is a challenging program that will arm Lynch children with the skills needed to excel later in life. I cannot say enough about this great school. We have lived many other places and I am a teacher- not at Lynch, but I have a lot to compare. Lynch is TOPS!

I feel the quality of this school was stellar in every area with one exception-The principal they had before I moved 3 years ago was not kid friendly- I feel this should be a requirement for a position of this nature. But either way that school is way better than the schools down here in Florida.
