Probably the most academically rigorous program for pre-K 3 to kindergarten in the Delaware Valley. Very tough school, but your child will speak like a French native very quickly. English teaching is also quite strong. Each classroom gets a French teacher and an English teacher, full time; very impressive. Lots of tough homework for the kids, but they know how to temper the length. Very diverse faculty and student body. School is also very good at policing bullying and antisocial behavior.

I love EFIP because not only is my child now bilingual and getting a sound education, but the teachers are nurturing and give each individual child the kind of attention he or she needs.

Wonderful school. Dual curriculum in French and English, with excellent teachers, both French and American. Diverse student body; about a third of students speak a language other than French or English at home. Music and art are incorporated into the curriculum in all grades. HIghly recommended.

We have been part of the French School for over 10 yrs. I have had 3 children go through the school with the 3rd one still there. This school has many pros and cons. Pro-become bilingual, Con-english suffers a little. The Pre-K grades are incredible. The children pick up the French so quickly. They have made huge improvements in their English curriculum. By learning the French you are trading off on a superior English education. The French comes first. The school is not for everyone. Learning two languages at once is really intense. It is not like taking a language course in a regular school. These kids actually have a full curriculum in French and a full curriculum in English. Great school for Pre-K 3 through grade 4. Middle school not developed enough, too few kids.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
