What can I say about School Lane Charter School......World Class Education by World Class Teachers! 5 Stars!

I have 2 children that attend SLCS. I love it & my kids love it! The teachers are 2nd to none & I am extremely proud to be a part of the SLCS community. With all the emphasis on bullying & the prevention of it, parents should know that education about bullying isn't limited to school. I am involved with my children. I talk to them, I teach them at home about respect, honesty, & consideration of others. Bullying doesn't take place because the teachers or administration just let it happen. Bullying is an issue all over because there are parents that are NOT involved with their children. Not only are they NOT involved, but they do not want to take responsibility for their problematic, disruptive children in the first place. They want to blame it on someone else. Shame on you. Teach your kids some manners & respect. Show some discipline at home & maybe we wouln't have bullying issues in any school. If you DO take responsibility for your child, then BRAVO to you! Keep up the good work & encourage your child/children to continue to be "the better person".

My ONLY complain is THE BULLYING IS TAKEN SO LIGHTLY. I'm tired of my kids coming home upset and crying. I feel like the school should disciple better. Especially after the rise in bullying suicide. I WONT LET IT GET THAT FAR!!!

My son is in Kindergarten and I feel that they do a great job. It is a little hard because the teachers do not communicate to the parents as much as his daycare did, but I guess that is because they are to busy.

My children went to this school for a couple of years. I decided to take them out of SLCS after my child was being bullied over and over again. I talked to the school about it and they said they would handle it but it just continued. I called again to discuss it and they said it would be handled but it continued some more. This school always talks about the anti-bully policy they go by but it is not the case. I would like my children to go to school to learn and not have to deal with these issues on a daily basis.

We are very happy with our decision to send our 2 children to SchoolLane Charter. Our 7th grader and 2nd grader are doing very well here. They've attended since kindergarten. They are learning to work hard doing the homework and projects which seem to be pretty time consuming at times. But as a working parent, I realize that nothing is going to come easy for our children, and moving on to high school and college has its own challenges. So the amount of work they do and learning time management now will better prepare them for the real world. I believe the teaching staff is very talented and the support staff is very helpful. Least we forget, parental input at home and through volunteer hours as well, we can make this a caring environment work better for all of our kids. I'm proud to say my children attend SLCS.

I've been a SLCS parent since the very beginning(1998). I think the school is a great learning environment. But, I do feel that they lack very seriously with disciplinary actions against bullying. They need to crack down more in this department.

I've been a student at SLCS for nine years (since kindegarten) and I have to say it was all the worth while. I'm in my final stages of this school, and I have to say, I'm going to miss it all. I guess as a student, I couldn't wait to get out of here, but when I think about it, this school really brought me and my classmates into a family. We really work well together, and at the same time, learn so much academically. If something could change, I think middle school should not only switch teachers, but the students in the class. This way, the students get used to 49 kids instead of 24. The teachers are great. Sure, they seem mean, but they are doing their best to make sure we get a good education. I will miss this school terribly, and I will come back and visit.

Our family has been part of the School Lane Community since 2001 and I can honestly say, without hesitation, that we could not have picked a better school for our children. The teachers are remarkable and their care and dedication to EVERY student is unmatched. Our children have truly been blessed to be part of this wonderful learning environment. The only thing that would make this school better would be 9th-12th grades! Thank you School Lane Charter School! Keep up the great work! The Bailey Family
