If you are willing to put in the time and effort you will be successful in this school. Great teachers and administration who devote their time to improving the education of the students in Berwick.
Berwick is an excellent school district and the teachers have worked very hard to continue to improve this school. My children have attended Berwick since Kindergarten and I am very please with their education. Please remember that you get out of it what you put into it. Although it is not perfect, this school has definately made the students their top priority, not their athletics.
Berwick has a very strict curricular grading system. Anything under a 70% average is failing.
Some professionals are lacking in the ability to grab the attention of the students with interesting lesson plans and projects.
Berwick is a good school District with many bright and caring teachers. Yes we do have problems, but there are many highly educated and dedicated people working to make this a better school. My oldest daughter went on to a great coollege and graduated. She was well prepared and taught by many great teachers. Its just like any school district, it takes parents and the whole community to learn and help kids grow. Sports are important in Berwick and so is music and many other activities. They are all a vital part of the learning process. Bottom line if you want a great all around education you must want to learn and be motivated. This can be acheived at Berwick.
This school district is concerned with their sports program above all else. The students are cared about if they are in sports or if they are smart and/or from a rich family. I pulled my daughter out of this school district because she was being threatened bodily harm by other girls in her class who run in a gang and the school did not care because my daughter is in learning support and we are not rich. This is a very rough school district where few teachers are concerned about the students.
