I brought my kids here from New York City and have found the teachers to be a truly dedicated group who go above and beyond what they need to do. My kids love school and don't want to go back to New York.
Since I moved here from Jersey.I find the teachers more in touch w/ the kids needs. A youger mind set in school. Also the kids are not forced to learn a second languege as young as Kdg. I do believe in teaching our kids more then one languege. When they have learned to read & write English 1st.
A great group of teachers and staff!
Donegan Elementary, at 1210 E. Fourth Street (not at the address listed anymore), should be complimented for consistently bringing the standards to a higher level. They are not even on the state's warning list, despite the socioeconomic status of the students. The teachers at Donegan are from a fine class of professionals, who overcome many obstacles which could stand in the way of a student's learning.
