As a senior at Moravian Academy, who has attended the school since 4th grad, I can now look back and appreciate what this school has given me. This learning environment is supported by superb teachers who are here because they love to teach and they love the school. At Moravian, compared to other schools I have heard first hand accounts of, it is cool to be smart and to succeed and the school offers and encourages appropriate amounts of freedom and individuality among students (individuality in relation to both fellow students and their parents). Though I do not know anyone who is in favor of the new building plans for the school, I hope that Moravian continues to fund what this school is attended for, and that is a strong and well-rounded education that prepares students well for higher education.

As one who experiences the every day life of being a Moravian Academy student, I have to say that I am displeased with the school. The discipline is terrible; nobody is punished, or reprimanded for doing anything against the rules. A child was caught looking at inappropriate things on the school computers, and was only told not to do it again. The same child as well as many others continuously bully and banter the students all day long, and even though the staff is aware of it, they do nothing to stop it. The bullying and lack of discipline is out of control. This school's students have driven both myself and my sibling to leave because of the close-mindedness and lack of diversity accepted at the school. The conformity issue is disgusting.

I love Moravian. Tjere is so much room for oppurtunity in whatever you enjoy. The teachers are all so caring and compassionate about what they teach. Each element of the school is so highly developed, and faculty is always trying to improve.

Quality academics and music program. Encouraging sportsmanship and discipline. All leading to a very competitive upper school where kids are encouraged to participate in the arts and sports while being to notch students.

While I cannot say that my child's experience at Moravian has been perfect, I will say that they are proactive in dealing with issues and provide an excellent academic program for above average and well above average (gifted) students. Their enrichment opportunities are also excellent with overnight trips and hands-on experiences. The school offers a number of sports for middle school children as well. The staff is caring and tuned in to the children. There is a fair push toward conformity yet there is room for more interesting personalities if you have a tough skin. The children rise and fall based on their own merit and are pushed toward excellence. There is nothing comparable in the public system in the Lehigh Valley. If we had to do it all again, we'd still choose Moravian.

The academic programs are amazing. The extracurricular activies are also great. Parents are given the possibility to be really involved, but aren't required. The school is very flexible.

My daughter attend Moravian Academy from grade 1 through grade 8, graduating in 1995. She continued in the AP and honors program in public high school graduating with straight A's. Continued her education through an MA at a prestigious private college in Southern California. We attribute her success academically, socially, and emotionally to the exemplary education she received at Moravian. We are very pleased with her time spent there. She recently thanked us for sending her to Moravian.
