C.V's Monroe is better than you might think. Monroe's PTO is amazing at pulling together events and incentives for the students. My children loved earning bird bucks to "buy" real toy-store gifts at the PTO Store. My son adored his gym teacher and the Pacer Program that helped him focus on his schoolwork. My daughter adored the music and art teachers who gave her opportunities to shine, The movie nights and $10 Club Tuesdays were fun options for my kids to try out. We are sorry we moved away to the Carlisle Dist in 2011-2012.

My son has been in this school for 3 years now and each year it gets worse. He knew more before he even started school. I sometimes wish we would have home schooled him. The way the teachers teach the students is even confusing for me and I have a college degress! I can't wait till we move! This school is in Cumberland Valley School District which I have always heard was wonderful. That is why we chose a house in this district. Maybe it is better in high school just not this elementary.

The quality of the school work / teachings is high. Our daughter seems to learn a lot more than we did in the lower grades! There needs to be a few extra programs added back to the curriculum that had to be cut this past year due to apparent contract issues which have since been resolved. Music programs could be stronger, but they do work more with the kids in the 4th grade. Encourage more parent involvement. It's a proven fact that schools with MORE parent ivolvement score better.GET INVOLVED W/ the PTO! It needs fresh faces & ideas & leadership. New principal in 05/06 year so can only speak from past experience. Overall experience has been favorable.
