We just moved from Florida to Childs,PA. And went last to see if i could register my daughter. But the school was closed,i don't have an idea when or how to register my daughter.I also don't know when school starts here in this area. Please help me! 8/22/11
It has a great program that mmets the needs of all the chidren. They are constantly working to improve the quality of education for everyone.
As a parent of three children who have and still are attending school in this district I take offence to some of the comments on this site. A parent is a childs first teacher and that does not end when they go to school. A teacher can not do it alone if we do not reinforce at home it can't work!
I am happy with this school. I have 3 children here. I think the principal could do more to keep the kids safe from bullies and discipline issues. The assistant principal is unimpressive and blames everyone else instead of problem solving. The teacher are wonderful and are the school's best asset. I feel my children are getting a fine education here. Compared to the charter and private school options, I feel it is the best choice.
As a visitor here, I felt this was a very bad school with poor teachers, and a curriculum revolving around the almighty reading book. There's more to school, like Math and Science.
My daughter is in the 5th grade and it is wonderful. Her teacher is terrific and very understanding and fair to the children. Now I do hope and I'm sure of it that next year when my daughter is in 6th grade every thing will be preety much as good as this past year for her and if maybe better.
Although this school has some really great teachers, I pulled my son the second the Charter School opened. I was not happy with the administrators and the school board's dictation of certain things. They don't care about the children, only what goes in their pockets and I know this from first hand knowledge! I really feel bad for the good teachers who have a lot to offer these kids and applaud them for continuing to do so well in a school system like this. I've also heard that since the Charter school opened, the teachers have been doing ever more with the children so if opening the Charter school helps other children and teachers in our district, then it's a good thing - higher taxes or not. God bless the C'dale Elementary teachers who work their behinds off for the children!
I haven't had a problem with this school at all they have wonderfull teachers who if they see a child struggling they will work with them. My daughter loved her teachers. If only more schools had teachers like this school kids today would be better off! Only reason I took my daughter out of this school was their uniforms I couldn't afford them.
