I have been extremely pleased with the teachers and especially the Guidance Counselor at St. Benecit School. Also, the school secretary goes above and beyond what I have ever expected. My children have needs beyond the regular educational set up and I feared I would have to pull them out of St. Benedict. With the help of the school Guidance Counselor and fantastic teachers my children have been encouraged and put on a path of success. I am in awe of the impressive hard work and dedication the staff gives to the school for so little monetary compensation.

One of our biggest disappointments with the school is that it has failed to reinforce the basic principles of our faith. My 8th-grade daughter and two of her friends were marginalized and emotionally bullied by their peers. Although the teacher and principal tried talking to the other girls, the bullying escalated and the students were never disciplined despite their 'no tolerance' policy (two of their mothers happened to be school employees). Like many schools, the music program is also suffering; for example, music theory is not even taught. Although the school is academically superior-except in that one case--we have considered withdrawing our youngest child because of the 'double standard'.
