As a student, I really enjoy the computer lab. I have gone to Montessori Academy for many years, and you really get to know the teachers and the other students and they really get to know you. The teachers really try to help you get good grades and have fun learning. The teachers even play with us during recess and Phys. Ed! I love this school.
The ten to one ratio really means my child is getting the attention and individual instruction he needs. The school is a community where all the teachers know all the students by name and all the classes interact. Students are given meaningful assignments, and the learning is varied, hands-on, and at a high level, although there are students with learning disabilities and gifted students and all levels in between. When the area middle school has over 32 students per class, having less than 20 students to 2 teachers is awesome. Also, when the kids like the teachers, it's a great match. The preschool and younger elementary programs are wonderful. Take a tour to see for yourself.
My children have attended Montessori Academy from Preschool through 7th grade. The one on one attention they receive from the teachers and the respectful, caring environment have allowed them to enjoy learning and truly excel. The diverse population and community service activities help them grow as community members. I highly recommend Montessori Academy to parents looking for a great place to send their child.
my child went here i love this school it was the best school that we could have choose i love the teachers and she loved to go to school
My son has attended this school since he was 2, and I really like their approach and 'out of the box' strategies. He is able to explore and grow as a person without repetitious things like counting and the alphabet being forced on him. Don't get me wrong he is learning about counting and the alphabet, but in an unconvential (sandpaper letters to touch, learing letter sounds vs the alphabet song....)way. I would highly recommend the school if it suits your budget.
