I wish I could have clicked all of the above for this question! I can't thank them enough for all they have done for my son. I know as he heads off to college in the fall he is well prepared for whatever lies ahead of him because he has been taught by the men and women of this small school, who don't work for the money but because it's a calling.

Amount of homework: Just right

My son has been a student since the 7th grade, he is now a senior. He has carried a heavy work load each year and along with it comes a ton of homework. The person who suggested one teacher assigns busy work by making students do coloring as homework, is totally missing the point of the assignment. Students learn in different ways, some learn by just reading text, while others learn better by mapping out or diagramming (coloring) maps, geography or the periodic table.

Best decision we ever made was moving our son out of public school and into Cheswick Christian Academy. The teachers are excellent and always willing to go the extra mile if a student is struggling with a subject. The students are welcoming to newcomers and act more like a family unit than a student body. Great school, great staff!

Not only is the principal the school leader he is a coach and a math teacher. He has spent numerous hours helping my daughter with algebra

It's a small school with a supportive environment. The staff communication with parents is excellent. This is a no nonsense school where students are held accountable for following school rules. The school follows curriculum similar to what you what you would find across most public schools.

Actually I think many schools do homework just for the sake of giving homework. This school allows the student to be involved in other activities outside of school while still maintaining a strong academic standards.

My son goes to this school and for a small school it has a lot to offer. They have accelerated as well as regular programs in High School. The atmosphere is very caring and friendly. You can't beat the price either.

People who aren't trained to handle children tend to be ineffective at caring for and teaching them.

Minimal homework is given and the homework given is mostly busy work. One high school teacher assigns coloring as homework.

If your child isn't doing well they are encouraged to give up or drop out and no help is given
