In response to "I feel this school needs more help". Claysville elementarty does have the supports staff in place to help with children who are in need. Some of the class rooms do have aides to help with teaching the cirriculum. Children are evaluated each year to determine how much of the studies they are truely understanding. They have tutoring programs in place to help these children and the plus is that it takes place during the school operating hours. My child needed some help when he was in first grade and he went to the tutoring for 1 hour each day, during school. This was a nice "personal touch". It helped him tremendously and his grades are all A's and B's. The tools are in place for the children as well as the parents. We just have to use them. Lastly, The teachers are very responsive with emails. Use them.

I feel this school needs more help. Each classroom needs aids & helpers for the children. With the studies being so intent, with what the kids are to learn today in such a short time, a teacher becomes a 'board writer of instructions' & the 'child' is suppose to understand this as if they were in college. There is no personal touch, the children are confused & their grades are low. Parents have a hard time of being involved - we don't understand what they're even doing & truthfully, aren't the teachers to be doing the teaching? With homework being as equal as classroom time, when do the children come home.....Pills & psychiatrist's are not the answer. My children hate going to school, it's a prison of - 'get this done or else', would you like to attend claysville elementary?
