Both of my daughters attend this lovely new school. It has a wonderful country setting. The teachers and staff are terrific and I love that the school is willing to accommodate all kinds of learning. For instance, when my eldest daughter started, honors math was offered to 5th grade and above. The school independently noted that they had enough outstanding math students in a 3rd grade class, so the following year they created a 4th grade honor's math class. I strongly feel that this kind of proactive approach is vital to keeping kids interested and engaged. I have found this school to always provide a structured, safe, and engaging learning environment that offers lots of opportunities.

PJPII is a great school. The teachers are strict, but caring. Our Kindergarten student responds well. The building is relatively new and provides my daughter a happy learning environment. The school is in West Brandywine twp. several miles from the City of Coatesville. The school shares many acres with St Peter Catholic Church.

I feel that Pope John Paul II teachers have gone over and above their call of duty w/ my son who is in the upper grades. They are always available to the students as well as the parents. They are devoted to the students and respected by both parents & students. He has received a great academic education as well as the after school activiies. He loves Pope John Paul II and the teachers.

This new school is beautiful. The teachers seem genuinely interested in the students. They communicate via phone calls and emails on a regular basis. My child has a great deal of respect for the teachers and other students. He is excelling in his classes. So far, we are very pleased.

My daughter is lucky enough, to be in one the first Kindergartens. She is my oldest, so I've only had 5 months of experience with this school. I couldn't't be happier with it! The parents are very involved, the teachers and aids are wonderful and most important, my daughter loves it!

My oldest child attended the school for five years, while my youngest only went to the school for two years. The principal of the school is extremely involved and cares deeply for the children. While it seems most of the teachers are very nice , there are some teachers at the school that need to re-evaluate their career choice. As a parent volunteer I witnessed the teachers yelling at the kids and 'talking down' to them. It made me uncomfortable. The school is in a very bad area of Coatesville and the buildings are old and so are the books the children use to learn. I feel the kids are taught more by fear then learning to blossom from their environment. I am glad they are getting a new school buiding, but unfortunately even though their will be a new shell the core of the teachers will be the same.

The overall experience for the past 5 years has been excellent. Academics hold a high standard for us and CACES has proven exemplary. Students can be involved in sports through the school beginning in grade 4 with the track team where every student makes the team! Very positive. Parent involvement is extremely high. You really get to know the children and the families through involvement with the school, school events and sports. Downside is that students are spread out in three different buildings in city of Coatesville. Upside is construction of new Regional Catholic K-8 school is set for completion in January 07. Building and facilities under construction will be beautiful! New building is located on Rt. 82 between 340 and 322.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
