I am a student at junior high west and honestly i do not like my school. Teachers don't try to connect with us kids and most seem like they don't even want to be there. Its embarrassing for us students when other kids come to our school because of the quality of the school as a whole. The food is horrible and i think it could be all around improved.

Overall, Jr. High West is a good school. I do however, have a problem with kids that are failing 4 or more subjects being pushed through. I know that this has been going on for many years but, I think it's wrong! We need to prepare our kids for the future & that's not preparing them for success but, for failure. I also, think that extra activities should be closely monitored as far as grades go. I have a step-son that has failed 4 classes and is still on the schools football & basketball teams. It's just not right to let these kids participate in activities when they are failing so many subjects.

The Principal does not appear to be concerned about his students specially the ones with learning disablities that are constantly being shoved around by their classmates. The teachers are another story many of them need to go back to college to relearn why they went into teaching in the first place. This school just keeps going down hill every year.

Principal does not appear to have a connection with his students. He is more of a figure type that is above his student body. The test scores reveal that the education curriculum is not growing and that in fact is is declining. However, in behalf of the school, my daughter feels that the teachers are capable of teaching and helping those students who may need help occasionally. The teachers need to have better control of the classrooms as some students are disruptive and those students who are not, are being left to deal with the disruptions.

For the most part Jr. High West has a lot to offer a student......however there are some teachers that need to be looked at for their treatment of good students. They create in them a dislike for the subject for which they are being taught because of the teacher who is teaching the subject.
