This school has a pretty bad curriculum, particularly in math and science. Half of the teachers seem uninterested in what they are doing, but the other half is very good. This school is extremely nepotistic, as the majority of the teachers are all former Montour students, so they bring nothing new to the table. Also, their gifted program is a joke.

new 5th grade enrollment for 2004-2005 school year. not well thought out and planned for. biggest complaint is lack of enthusiasm and positive attitudes. children are surrounded for negative attitudes. discipline is also main focus. they do not have a principle, only acting principle. right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. no continuity in the 'running' of the school. extremely disappointed in quality, attitude and the lack of a positive atmosphere for the students. school does not have adequate learning support for students. montour has really declined in its level of quality education. my 5th grader no longer enjoys going to school. what a shame education has become so terrifying for these children.
