I am an Alumni of CHS and I think you really have to go away to appreciate this school. I went to college and the technology and opportunities they offer at CHS are above and beyond any other high school I have seen or heard of in PA (Including more upscale Pittsburgh Schools). Some of the great tools and resources used at CHS haven't even been heard of by some of my professors or professors in other nearby colleges. CHS is more advanced than most people realize and it is really a privilege to attend the school.

Corry high school has changed a lot in the years, but it still has the same goals as it did years ago. Although now they are on a block system instead of periods. Everyone has a special for nine wks like gym or art which I do not like at all, but if it works then it works for them. Seventh graders are introduced to the school in a well rounded manner which is a plus. Sports are very available to all that is interested. The school policies are all up to date. Corry can offer everything, but a swimming pool. They use the local YMCA for swimming. So Corry JR/SR High is an awesome school in PA.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing, science and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
