Northern High School is a great place to go to school. The academics are wonderful and the extracirricular activities to choose from are endless. If you want a quality education while having the best time of your life you will come to Northern. GO POLAR BEARS!

We love Northern! Small enough to get to know everyone and to get involved in whatever you wish. Large enough to access great resources. And the teachers are the most committed, friendly, and supportive I've ever seen (and we've been in two other school districts).

I graduated from northern in 1999, and now have 4 children and 1 to go attending. The academics are great, so are the teaching staff. But If you come from wellsville or don't have money forget about playing football or being a star wrestler, the school does cater alot to kids who's parents have money or are part of the dillsburg elite. The school board often forgets they are in york county and tries to keep up with the cumberland county schools. All and All the academics are great if thats all your looking for.

This school is the absolute best in academics. The grades may not always be the best in the honors classes, but what you learn greatly surpasses it. I unfortunately had to move to a different school, but what I learned in one year at NHS will stay with me forever, and was more than I learned in three years at another high school.

Northern High School is the best!! Our sports program is outstanding!! We have some of the best kids in the area that actually have manors!! I actually still live in the district and have a child attending the high school. My mother is a graduate of Northern High School. We have so many talented kids attending our school from the arts program to band to sports and everything in between. I'm really proud of Northern High School.

I'm a recent 2003 graduate of Northern. I have been to over 7 school districts in my life, and I think this school overall is great. The teachers are friendly and helpful. The principle is all for his students and the staff. There is plenty of activities for the students, and I see plenty of parents that get involved. The overal safety of the school is awesome, except for a couple of prank bomb threats during the 2001-2002 school year. I think Northern is an excellent school for any child to be in.
