For a small country school, this is one of the better public schools in Pennsylvania.

If you love your children do not send them to this school. The superintendent and principals lack the ability and desire to do their jobs adequately. Children of teachers receive special treatment. Athletic ability is valued far more than academic achievement. Bullying is rampant and no disciplinary action is taken if the bully in question is one of the preferred students. Spending is out of control and the taxpayer has no say in what the school board does. All complaints and questions fall on deaf ears.

If you are looking for a safe place for your kids in a supportive atmosphere...Elk lake is the place for you. It has a strong sense of community and the teaching staff and administration work extremely hard to give these rural kids every opportunity they possibly can.

Elk Lake is a great school. We have the highest amount of school spirit in most likely the whole state. The teachers are all great and have different ways of teaching their classes, so it's never boring. I have gone their for years and there is not one thing I do not like about Elk Lake. There are some students who do not suceed, but those are students who literally do nothing. If you need help we have so many teachers that are willing to help you individually, and our sports rock.

This is one school to keep your kids out of. If you are not a part of their 'Country Club'(thats what we call it) Than you can not succed in any thing. The teachers send all of the work home for the parents to teach. And if you are involved in extracurricular activities, Forget it! You will get no where!! unless you are a teachers kid or a buddy of the coach or a friend of the drama teachers or any other teacher. No matter how good you are at what you do. You dont stand a chance at this school. My kids have gone to this school for 12 years so beleive me I do know what this school is all about

Elk Lake School is a school who takes pride in its students. It is a fairly small school, but a great one at that.

Elk Lake is the hub of this small rural community. Each student receives individual attention and a quality education. My children have attended Ivy League universities and were better prepared than the students from so-called 'prep schools'. Money isn't everything. Quality and sincerity are what counts in education.

This is the worst school you could send your teenager to. The school is also extremely cheap.
