After reading the previous review, I can not agree more. This school district has been over rated for many years and we are now in a huge down slide. The board does NOT have concerns for the students. There is no diversity, every child must fit into CB's box. This is the 21st century and universities are looking for students that are well rounded, Not ones that have been trained to take a test........be like every other student out there. The board is so concerned about " CB leading the way", that they are in the process of trying to remove the computer programing classes from middle school. I shall say no more because the actions of the school board and superintendent say it all.

There is much hype in the Central Bucks School District as to the caliber of the teaching staff and curriculum. My experience as a parent two graduates, both high achievers, is that most of this is rumor and not reality based. Far too many of the teachers are young and inexperienced, almost entirely drawn from Penn State and other local universities. There is virtually no cultural or racial diversity in the faculty or student body and entirely too much attention and too many resources devoted to athletic competition. I have lived in Bucks County for 25 years and believe that at one time this district held a position of some importance academically but I believe those days are long gone, most probably due to the administrative practice of pandering to overindulgent parents. My advice would be to find a more diverse learning environment with a broader curriculum and more experienced faculty if you want your child to be adequately prepared for higher learning.

A top school with so much knowledge to offer. I attended CB West back in 05-08' and after seeing how much I've learned compared to my colleagues, I know I got a great education at a CB School! From the excellent teachers and strong support staff, this is a great school and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a High School in Doylestown!

Moved from Philadelphia. Couldn't afford private schools so moved to where the public school system actually works. You can write off the taxes but not private school tuition. Lots of jocks here if your into sports. If you want to actually be educated you can obtain an excellent education here. No crime in this area.

I am a junior now at West and I'd say it is one of the best schools in PA. The teachers are exceptional and I have learned so much here. The sports are very competitive, as are the academics so you have to work hard but the education is worth it. My whole family has gone through this school and I'm looking forward to when my little sister comes. The only thing I would say is that it is in Doylestown, which is the most boring town. If you are planning to move here, know that you will be satisfied with the schools (all of them) but most of the people are very conservative, which shows through in the schools atmosphere. Anyway, if you want to be more than ready for college, go to West.

Although my education was first-rate, in the real world there is much more diversity than this HS and I look back and see that I was too sheltered in this environment.

We sent 5 kids to CB West. Each kid found their own 'niche.' The teachers were outstanding. Central Bucks is one of the best school districts in PA. We feel fortunate to live in this area.

The Central Bucks school district is considered to be one of the top in PA. I thought it was just an ok experience for my daughter. The schools place great importance on the top students as well as the underachievers, leaving the vast majority of students in the dust. As with most schools around the country, most teachers seem to love what they are doing. A few should just retire already. There are many programs offered, but most of them are highly competitive and only available to a select few. Most parent involvement is in the area of sports and band.

Lots of opportunity at this school. Situated in a nice town where students can walk to shops and restaurants. Very safe, nothing EVER happens in Doylestown. Good sports programs. Constructive criticism for the school: sometimes it seemed like those who needed the most attention fell through the cracks, but this probably happens at many schools. Outstanding teachers.
