Prendie is a great school, it has given me great oppurtunities and skills that will carry me through life, I have made friendships that i will keep forever. I will look back at these four years and appreciate every moment. I have been on the crew team which required me to wake up at 3:30 in the morning and allowed me to use the historical Boat House ro before going to school. I love the old fashion jumper and the uneven steps, the mysterious bell tower and the tradtions that created every prendie girls experience at this school. The ring day is one of the most dreamt occasions in a prendie girls life. I wear my ring everyday and smile at every compliment i recieve people everywhere recognize the distinguished ring, with the garnet stone. I loved going to school everyday, the community of teachers and faculty is friendly and most definatly dedicated. The school is a perfect location for the bus aand trolley and has a great view of the city skyline. I recieved a high quality education and would recomened this school to anyone because of the recent combining of prendie and its brother school bonner I believe it will be a perfect fit with two great traditional schools. I attended Archbishop Predergast in '54/'57. I imagine it has changed quite a bit. Is the school still in the old orphanage or in the new building with the boys? Bill Flick '57

AS a graduate from this outstanding institution I reccomend this school to young girls who just need to get away from boys during the school. Seriously the teachers are great. They take the time to make students stay on track when it comes to learning. I dont regret graduating there.

As a former 'Prendie Girl' it thrills me to see my daughter reap the same benefits that I did as a young woman. The comradery and true friendships that you make at Prendie stay with you for a lifetime! There is no better place for your daughter to be. It doesn't hurt that there are no boys to distract your daugher either!

Archbishop Prendergast is an excellent school. It provides excellent teachers, Christian ethics, and has many opportunities available for parental involvement. Students are polite and accepting of one another. The only down fall I see at the present time is that they seem to be of the old school and do not teach the girls to follow their dreams. The fact that they teach boys that they can succeed at anything and fail to give the girls the same desires to follow their dreams is somewhat disappointing. Girls are prompted to become nurses, and house wives instead of reaching for dreams. The college night consists of just a few colleges mostly of nursing and teaching, while college night for Bonner boys consists of a extremely wide variety of continuing education, and or vocational choices. Colleges from all over are invited to attend. The boy school is kept in better physical condition. Air conditioning is provided, and teachers consistantely reinforce the fact that boys can achieve. I think if Archbishop Prendergast works on improving hopes of girls for the future and teach them to follow their dreams, that Archbishop Prendergast would be one of the most exceellent schools in Delaware Valley.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
