There are pluses and minuses to this school. Let me start with the pluses; my daughter attended here and her mathematics education was excellent. She was doing things that many students in the grade above her did in the public schools. However, her teacher didn't use differentiated instruction to stimulate the more advanced students and as a result, my daughter didn't progress in her reading skills although she was already reading 2 grade levels above her grade. With that being said, after speaking to a higher grade level teacher, I found that reading groups are not a focus in any of the grades; all students are given the same material to read in spite of different levels of reading abiility - this is a minus for the school. Finally, my daughter took the Terra Nova test and the principal refused to let me see the results. She said that my daughter scored above the 85th percentile but still wouldn't let me see the results. I can't understand why a parent can't see her child's standardized test scores so I was looked upon as a pest by the school for asking.
