Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I spent years involved with many areas of Lincoln High and the entire school district. With committees and education foundation work. I would always like to see our younger educators put more of their energies into our students, then their pensions. But taking in the bigger picture Lincoln High teachers and administrators, are a dedicated group of teachers, and every parent should feel good that their children are in great hands. Food for though, Teachers and administrators, should only be rewarded on the success of the students. A Proud Grandparent...

We LOVE Lincoln! Though it may not have all the bells and whistles that neighboring mega-districts have, Lincoln has what counts...staff members that care about the individual. Students are not simply numbers hoarded through the system here. Lincoln's teachers and counselors are wonderful about keeping a watchful eye on the performance of the individual student and, when needed, intervene even when it means on their own time. We feel very blessed to have our children in this district.

I am quite impressed with the positive attitude shown by both the administration and the teachers in the district as a whole. They are professional and hard working. It is a shame that someone who had an axe to grind used this web site to slam our wonderful district. The superintendent is the hardest working individual in the district - hands down. He communicates wonderfully with the community and the employees. He lives in the heart of the community and attends most school functions. In sum, Ellwood City Area School District is a fantastic place for young people to learn and grow. I am proud to live here in this great community and I am fortunate that my children attend school here.

It is apparent in the Ellwood City School High and Junior High school that a majority of the teachers are in the profession for the money and summers off. I say this because of their attitude toward the student. They are not in it for the students. In addition, the superintendent is not qualified for the position and was hired out of comraderie rather that experience, knowledge, and performance. It is a shame.
