I have three kids there and we all love it. We are new to Erie and are able to finish their first year of school at Montessori In the Woods. The kids wish the summer break was shorter....
Not only is it a true Montessori but it is also the only school in our area that goes to grade 8. This school has an amazing staff and amazing children.
As a parent at this school I feel great support and welcoming. I know that if I need help, it is available. Parent education, conferences, and many other ways of learning about Montessori are a part of this experience. My children are now older, yet they still reflect on their meaningful experiences here.
When you walk into Montessori In The Woods, you can immediately feel of sense of peace and welcome. I knew from the first moment I walked in that this was a special place. Over the years, I've learned that Montessori In The Woods is much more than just a wonderful school. It is a kind and caring community that respects each child as a unique individual, while it offers support and education for parents. My two children have attended this school for five years now and I would not have them anywhere else. I've observed in their classrooms each year and am so impressed by not only the level of work they are doing, but by the way everyone treats one another and the space. Respect and true kindess are of the utmost importance. I am so grateful to have such a beautiful opportunity available for our family.
Very hard to get an idea of what they are teaching. Closed door policy on classroom observation. No way of actually rating learning experience.
