I have 3 children in this school and my oldest has been there from Kindergarten to grade 7 so far. I could not be happier in this school. God's love is palpable in the classroom. Great teachers and great academics. The high quality academics is reflected in the results of standardized testing like the TerraNovas. Honors math is a strong program and a new Spanish language program will be starting next year (finally!). The annual school play is a high-school-quality production. The music and art programs are both excellent with an extended music program to be started next year. Parent involvement can be as much as you want -- and the parents I've worked with are very dedicated & all nice families. Negatives include the fact that I'm regularly asked to send in supplies (tissues) or snacks or other items for special

I made an unannounced visit to the svhool last week at lunch time to visit my neice who teaches there. I was most favorably impressed by the courteousness of the students who were sent to assist me at the locked entrance and by other students who were active about the school. Their uniforms and overall behavior/demeanor were most edifying. It struck me as a happy school and bright faces abounded. Simple courtesies were evident: e.g. opening and holding doors, asking, 'can I help you' etc. My neice's students were polite, orderly, appropriately interactive, neat and dressed inpressively in their uniforms and finally very attentive in their prayer. The spiritual dimension was quite evident. May God continue to bless the staff, students, parents and parish.

My daughter loves it. My husband and I feel she is getting a great eduacation. As a parent, you can get involved as much or as little as you like. Bullying does not seem to be tolerated by the principal or the teachers. The children are learning to respect themselves as well as others. My only complaint is that there are not any foreign languages offered. There is talk of it, but so far nothing has happened. Over all, we are very pleased with SS P&J.

Have not been happy with the way teachers treat the children. They are constantly getting into trouble for the little things. The kids have assigned lunch seats. Not allowed to sit with other classes or friends. Very much a dictatorship by teachers, principal and pastor.

Overall, I would rate this school as excellent in academics. They do offer music, art and gym, however, I would rate extracurricular activities as fair. Parents are VERY involved; almost too much at times.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
