We decided on where we wanted to live in Montgomery County based on objective and subjective criteria in terms of the schools. After we decided on Upper Dublin School District, we moved to Fort Washington specifically so that our daughter could attend FWES. She is finishing her fifth year there and we have never doubted that it is one of the best decisions we have made for her.

We have two daughters who attend FWES. The FWES community is kind, caring and motivating to all children. There staff has a true passion for education and a love for children. We feel fortunate to live in a community that puts childrens education first! FWES is the best!

We considered both private and public school for our children when they began elementary school many years ago. We have never been disappointed with our choice of Fort Washington Elementary. The school has been a wonderful, nurturing envirnoment for both my boys and girls. The teachers are kind, caring and creative and the administration is fabulous. We have never had a bad experience in over eight years at FWES. There is a very strong community of parents who are active in the school, with plenty of opportunity to be involved in the classroom and the PTA. We would highly recommend Fort Washington Elementary to any prospective parents. You can feel the energy the minute that you walk in the front door. It is one of the happiest places around for your child to grow and learn!

My son is currently in third grade and my daughter is now at the Middle School. We could not have 'hand-picked' a better elementary school for both of our children! The teachers are motivating and caring and respect each students' needs! It is a true community at FWES and one where everyone is encouraged to get involved and be a part of! It is a wonderful school!

Initally, everything sounded great when we enrolled our daughter into kindergarten. We are very dissapointed with the lack to enforce their prided motto 'No Bully Zone'. Dicipline issues are handled very casual. My daughter's classroom environment failed to provide harmony and respect among the children. Parent feedback is encouraged, but the response to feedback is sometimes discouraging. Academically, this school seems to be performing well-but it is my opinion a child can only make the most of the education when it is offered in a safe and respectful environment. Social development and academic development are not equal in this school. There is an imbalance of the two. Overall, I have been very dissapointed and am glad to take my daughter out of this school.
