My daughter attended this school and we felt it felt short academically. Also, maybe less than 8 kids were in each class year once they hit the Jr. High level....might be a positive for some, might be a negative for others. The teachers also are not certified teachers - they are members of the church. If a parent is looking for a smaller Christian school I would recommend Chestnut Ridge in Uniontown over CCCS. Thank you!
In the past all of my children have attended the preschool. I may add that it has always been WONDERFUL. This year, I have removed one of my children from public school to attend CCCS. I plan to put my other children there next year. I have only ever had one incorrect bill ever and notes and progress reports are sent directly to my e-mail acct. Staff is very easy to communicate with and I have had no bully or bus issues. I am ver happy with this school.
Calvary Chapel is an excellent school my daughters love it there. I made the mistake of pulling them. They were way above avarage in learning. Public school could not beleive how much they knew. So I decided to put them back in Calvary. Where I know they are being loved on and taken care of. It makes a big diffrence to what the other children at a larger school will teach them. Here I know it is kept under control and addressed with the love of God. God is the reason I choose a christian school in the first place. Jesus is something all children should have and not enough do..... Education is important as well and they get that at Calvay as well... The proof is in the testing not only at Calvary but now I know through public school as well that they diffently get Jesus and smart too.
I have served on the school board at Calvary Chapel Fredericktown throughout much of its existence. I can honestly say that both the church and school addressed the concerns mentioned in the previous post (8-18), and the accusations were unfounded. To read of these again, years after they took place greatly concerns me. They are defaming Calvary Chapel Christian School because of nothing more than a personal bias. Academically, Calvary Chapel Christian School meets state requirements, contains a student body that often scores higher on standardized testing than the national average, and recently graduated its first Senior Class. Those graduates who applied to colleges were quickly accepted. Unsubstantiated claims of wrongdoing and poor academics demonstrate are in poor taste. If another school meets a person individual needs better, good, but it s a shame for someone to try to tear down a good Christian school because of a personal vendetta.
I removed my child from this school due to unsatisfactory teachers. I had to reteach everything that was taught. My child is actually learning much more in public school. I also had a lot of trouble with tuition billing. They told me many times that I didn't pay them, when I definitly did. They also had fundraisers for specific things, but did not spend the money they earned on that thing. I do not recommend this school.
Extremely disappointed with this school. Did not live up to what was promised. God might be the focus, but education is not!
I have two children in Calvary Chapel Christain School and one in the pre school. There are a lot of wonderful things I can say about this school and probably do not have enough room to do so. First of all, they are taught well on the Word of God. They see teachers as well as the adminstration who clearly love the Lord and want to please Him. I know that when I send my children to school they are being taught by honest teachers who care about them. As for the rest of the education they receive (Math, Reading, Science, English, etc.) they are also doing well. I believe they are well exceeding what I learned at these grade levels when I went to school/which would be the same public school that they would be attending now. I am thankful that the Lord has CCCS in our lives!!!!!
I have had an excellent experience with this school! My children have been enrolled here for sometime. I am very happy with the teachers. In regards to the office and incorrect billing, I can deal with that as long as my child is contining to learn and grow academically and spiritually! Yes i to have gotten an incorrect bill, but overall, my bills are correct. The school really is in my opinion as a parent wonderful, and continues to be wonderful!
We had a very bad experience with the school and as such would never recommend Calvary Chapel to anyone. At first, we liked the school, however upon our second year, we were extremely disappointed with it. In our opinion and based upon our experience, the administration is unorganized and inconsistent with grading. Additionally we have found that the office was unorganized as well and often sent us incorrect bills while forgetting to send out reports cards and progress reports.
My child is enrolled in Calvary Chapel and has been enrolled at Calvary Chapel since Preschool. While no school is perfect by far, I believe an honest rating of Calvary Chapel would be one of a small school, small classes with teachers who love their students and do provide an excellent education. The teachers at Calvary Chapel should be commended for the time, effort and love given to each student, and family daily. My family plans on graduating our child one day from this fine school.
This school has been a blessing. My son is happy and smiling once again. They make sure each child is taught on their level and can understand the work. They truly care about the children and their education. The curriculum is equal to what the public school is teaching but the difference is Calvary takes the time to make sure the children are learning it. Religion is taught in a respectful manner and is taught using God's love for each person. I would highly recommend this school, not just for the experience of teaching our children about God's love but also for the chance for them to be cared about and given a chance to have a future.
This school is at best lacking in all aspects. Religion is the main focus of the day and education is by far in last place. NOT a school to send your children.
