Teachers try, but SAFETY is a HUGE issue. I think that they are teaching our children to 'TAKE TESTS' instead of teaching them what they need for life. I wish there was a charter school in our area that I could send my child to.

DTS is a very poorly run school. The district and the school board should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done to the district. My children used to love going to school and were eager to learn, but now they hate the school and want to move and go to another school. The teachers do the best they can, but so many of the kids that go there are out of control and have no respect for anyone, least of all authority. The school is in desperate need of help.

This is new to me since my grand-daughter is attending DTS for the first time this year. So far I am very unhappy with the staff and the food served in the lunch room.

District limits what can be done for the children there. Lots of lack of control especailly with the busing. There are many staff memebrs who really care and some that are so over burdened it takes from their teaching. The district needs to get more involved.

This school was a great neighborhood school until the school board decided to change everything! Now its over crowed and most of the children are bused in. Its really sad to watch a great school fall apart!

I think it is a great school. I have never had a problem. It will be very sad if the School Board takes that away from this community.

Excellent school. Teachers are very dedicated and knowledgable, principal is keeping order throughout, and test scores are greatly improving. Learning is individualized -students receive a lot of attention.

At first I was leery about sending my children to this school district because of all the bad things I heard about it. Much to my supprise, it turned out to be a great school. My children just completed there first year at DTE after going to catholic school for a few years. They both seem to really like it a lot better than catholic school. My one child has ADHD and the teachers were very willing to work with him. The principle Mrs. Watson would inquire about my children's progress every time she would see me. My other child on the other hand really excelled in school and she was given extra work that would present a challenge for her so she did not get bored. Over all, the teachers are very willing to work with the kids and keep there best interest in mind. Looking forward to another great year.
