This school district does not post its students' SAT scores, nor does it indicate how many students take the SAT. The guidance counselors could not tell me how the district follows up with its graduates. Very, very few students go on to more selective colleges. It is unclear how many students actually finish their post-secondary educations. There are no reported outcomes measures for the graduates. There is no measurement to gauge the quality of the education provided; the long term benefit. The PSSAs only compare students across PA. There is no effort to compare students across the country.

We have been at this school for 3 years and have felt the benefits of the personal attention from staff and teachers. GAHS has an excellent career preparatory program There are internships and job shadowing opportunities available, plus AP courses and early-to-college classes. The music program is also excellent.

The strength of our school is the personal attention we can give to each student and the opportunities we create. Because we are small we get to know our students better than in a larger environment. We also have some innovative programs such as Early-to-College where seniors can take courses at nearby colleges which count toward high school graduation and give them a taste of college work. We also have extensive apprentice and internship opportunities available for qualified students.

I feel that Greencastle has great academic programs for my child to take. I also feel that she is getting a great education and this school really has prepared her for graduation this June. The music and art program is great also we have many opportunites to get our child involved. We have many sports to chose from and also our clubs offer alot too. The parent involvement is great you never have to be afraid to talk to a teacher about your son or daughter they are willing to help in any way possible and will also get your child a peer tutor if needed. This school is great and i believe your child will love it here and will get a great education.
