This school has high standards that they are uncompromising on. The teachers are all first rate. They take an active interest in each child individually, finding creative ways to make the educational system work for each child. The administration is active with the teachers and students. There is a strong support of the music and arts departments. I see minimal involvement on the parent level, but that could just be the fact that the children are getting older and don't want mom and dad around as much. I haven't quite got a handle on that issue, yet.

My children currently attend Greencastle, and I also attended. I think the schools are excellent, especially in comparison to other districts in the area. The teachers are always willing to help, my daughter needs extra help in math, and so far 3 teachers have offered tutoring (her current teacher, last years' math teacher and her fifth grade teacher). To me this is admirable- she is in seventh grade and teachers from 2 years ago still keep tabs on her progress and are making themselves available. The extra-curricular activities are well supervised and well organized. This school in general is perfect for any child. I personally wouldn't let my children go anywhere else. Character does Count!
