I love this school. Not only have the teachers been excellent, but the school offers so many things to my child. I think it is so important for a child to be exposed to many things and this is the school that gives your child so many opportunities!

We are new to the Glenville P.A area, coming from the Roslyn School District on Long Island, New York. Our son entered the eighth grade at the Markle Intermediate School this September. The transition for our son went very smoothly because of the wonderful staff here at Markle Intermediate School. Our son is getting high 90's grades and the academics and the Intermurials are wonderful. Our son Robert always has positive feedback when he comes home from school and looks very foward attending school. As a parent it has been such a positive experience. I can't thank the staff enough for making this possible and for the wonderful educators that they are. As a parent this is what we look for and we have peace of mind and no doubt that we chose such a great school district for our son to attend.

I am an alumni of this school district, class of 98. My 3 kids now go to this school. Southwestern continues to grow leaps and bounds, and always puts the students best interests first. I have gone to other schools and so have my children, but we are all glad to be back in a school didstrict who cares so much about the youth of America. People who knock this district and its teaching habits oviously have don't care about the future of their children.

I have a child that just entered the school this year (2008). She really likes the school and all her teachers. I haven't seen or heard anything about the 'crime' listed by another reviewer! We have lived in the South Western district for over 7 years and love the elementary schools and it seems that the middle school will be just as great!

Classrooms have no windows. Overly strict with excessive homework for some, none for others. Oppressive environment. Leadership at the top does not want parent input or 'interference'

The teachers are not the best. They dont like to stay after school and help you. Their is crime in and around the school and ever year it seems to get much worse.
