This school is amazing. They excel in acedemics and even won an award for it! But at the same time the teachers know how to keep it fun in the classrooms, there is never a dull moment :)

Seneca Valley Middle School has been one of the best experiences I have been through. Even though we had a tragic inccident happen this past year, it only made us stronger. I am now going into 9th grade and I miss the middle school so much. I have had the best teams both years and I felt the teachers I have had become my family. They are people I could talk to about anything and they really connected with the students. The foreign language teachers are amazing! They really help you to understand the language. When I first went into 7th grade all I heard was oh this school is horrible and it's so hard. Obivously the people who told me this were not very good students. SVMS is the best school I have ever attended and deserves more then five stars!

I love the no bullying policy. I think Mr. Cashdollar is one of the best teachers my son has ever had. My younger son will have him in the 2009-10 school year. I am very pleased with that. Thanks for taking great care of my boys while their with you. Lisa Schurko

im an eigth grade student at seneca and i really like it here. the only things that seems to be restricting at seneca are the options the students have. for example i really wish we would have other, more useful, languages available for us to learn. overall, i am enthusiastic to continue learning via seneca valley

Very good school! I ame during the school year worring that it will be difficult to go class to class on time, but the 'team' is awesome. There is only 2 period where you are off team which is a wing of the school.

I have two children that have attended this school and found the experience to be very productive. The administrative staff is extremely professional. The teachers maintain a clear channel of communication with parents and are always accessible. Both of my children needed additional help a few times and were met with all the teaching resources necessary to fix the problem. The extra curricular activities are fabulous. Inline hockey has turned out to be great way for my son to put on a helmet and a SV jersey to compete on behalf of his school. However academic excellence is still the clear priority here. Most importantly, my kids are vey happy here!

For my son, his experience was good; they provided many activities and challenged him often. Some things they can improve on are better notification of parent opportunities and school activities; notification or permission for watching PG-13 movies in a classroom. Overall experience: OK

Programs here are excellent. There are a variety of activites for kids after school, such as sports, and many different clubs. Parental involvement is very important. The middle school is run on a team system, with six different teams, each having their own core subject teachers. This makes it easier for teachers to communicate problems or ideas, and allows the teachers to better know the parents of the studetns, since all of the core teachers have the same students.

Our 7th grade son is finishing an excellent first year at this school. The transition was potentially challenging for him as he moved from an elementary school to this large school. But the 'team' teaching concept allowed him to receive excellent attention from a small team of teachers while he rotated classes during the day within just a small part of the large and well-equipped school. He feels challenged academically and is very happy socially. There are many extracurricular activities available to him. I really felt like his participation in a fall sport helped to ensure that he was put in a position to build new friendships early on. It worked out very well for him. I have observed a good level of parental involvement. Probably about average for public schools.
